1 Why are thumbnails and pictures saved on their side? Camera Pro uses auto-orientation, to save landscape pictures on their side, so that you don't have to wait for rotation in the album. In version 1.0.9, this option may be turned off in Preferences.
2 Why is the software accessing internet? It is only using the internet for purchasing, activation and to display this help page. We do NOT store your pictures or send other data.
3 Why is Installer showing an older version in Updated Software? The software is listed in the STE repository, but they take more time to update. The newest version is always shown in Makayama's own repository at: http://tinyurl.com/2t8cax
4 Why are you asking for money while most apps are free? It's our daytime job, not our hobby, to write mobile software. Because it's a business, we can offer better quality software with more features and guaranteed customer support. We always offer a demo version, so you can decide if you think it's worth spending money on our software or not.
5 If I buy now, will I get new features and upgrades for free? Yes, all upgrades will be free for registered users
6 Can you add video recording? We would love to add it, but it's technically very difficult. But we're trying.
7 What is the TIFF & JPEG option ? If this option is turned on, the picture taken will be saved not only as JPEG, but also as a TIFF file. Warning: each TIFF file is 6 megabytes.
8 How do transfer the TIFF file to my computer? Install Mobile Finder (available in Installer). Start it and browse to the folder ~/Media/DCIM/100APPLE. Click on the TIFF file, then 'Send' and then 'Email'. Email the file to yourself. Make sure you're connected to WiFi because you're sending a 6 megabyte file.
9 What is the Fast Burst option? Normal burst will take three pictures with an interval of 500 milliseconds, fast burst will use 100 milliseconds (if the phone's processor and memory can keep up with the speed)
10 I ordered the software but did not receive a registration key Sometimes, creditcard companies demand a manual check of an order for security reasons. This may take up to 48 hours. If you haven't received your key after 48 hours, please contact us.
11 Will the software still operate once third party apps are official with Apple We will port the application to the official Apple SDK once it's out and if it allows this.
12 Camera Pro suddenly dissapears or doesn't perform a certain task. Your memory may be full. Re-boot your iPhone by pressing the top (power) button for 5 seconds and then move the red slider. The iPhone turns off. Turn it on again and restart Camera Pro.
